Timothy Hay Cattail Down It was hard voting against King Beetle but Timothy Hay is such a fun song. I'm bummed Angel of Death didn't make it, I think that was my favorite song on this album.
1. The King Beetle On A Coconut Estate - Like others, Timothy Hay is one of my favorite live tracks for reasons everyone has already answered, but Beetle might be my favorite track on this (profoundly underrated) album. 2. Cattail Down - Even though I like Every Thought, I'm surprised it made it this far since it's more of a simple, straight forward song. Although it has one of my favorite mewithoutYou lyrics on it: 'And when they swear their love is real, they mean 'I like the way you make me feel.' Cattail Down is just on another level for me I guess.
Also, thank g-d I missed this thread until now because I'd have too much anxiety picking between most songs on their first three albums.
Timothy Hay (this matchup is absolutely brutal) Cattail Down This has been a satisfying bracket. I think King Beetle, Timothy Hay, and Cattail Down are pretty easily the best songs on the album.
It's definitely underrated. No bad songs, some of their best songs, yet it barely gets mentioned as one of their best.
