1) Messes of Men - One of my favorite mwY openers. This song signifys such a monumental moment in their careers, a huge shift in sound and style from their previous albums. The lyrics and incredable, a true gem.

2) O, Porcupine - I love the spider songs but their purpose is to serve as interludes within the album. O, Porcupine is intense and groovy and I love the duel vocal part at the end. Can't justify voting spider over this.

3) A Glass Can Only Spill What It Contains - Hard choice here but Glass is the better song in my opinion. It flows perfectly and again the lyrics are so great on this track.

4) Nice and Blue (part two) - wow brutal matchup. Went back and listened to these songs a couple times before deciding. Wolf is a great song but I feel Nice and Blue (part two) has better moments.

5) In a Sweater Poorly Knit - No doubt their best song on this album (not my favorite tho).The harp, the verses, the chorus, such a beautiful song. Amazing the band that wrote A - B Life made this song.

Messes of Men (Messes of Men is brilliant on every level, I'll randomly just start singing to myself "I do not exist...")
O, Porcupine (I love Jeremy Enigk on O, Porcupine. The final minute after "In darkness a light shines..." is the most perfect chaotic mess that gives me chills every time.)

Mess of Men, O Porcupine, and In A Sweater Poorly Knit are three of my favorite mwy tracks, this is the album that fully got me on board with them. I simultaneously love and hate this bracket, so many favorites but it's going to be brutal voting them out.

 

Let the record reflect that I’m the one who voted for The Sun And The Moon and I will gladly die on this hill

Messes of Men and The Sun and the Moon are the two songs that got me to listen to Brother, Sister. Gutted that they had to be paired. S&tM is way better than one vote.

 

No one can stop me no one can stop me. No one clips my claws. Now everyone watch me everyone watch me...scale these outside walls.

 

Choosing between songs from Brother, Sister is like voting between my family members.
