can't express how great this is as the first thing to listen to on a snowy morning. the length & tone of this release is perfect.

 

yeah I love that it's little over half an hour. the songs are huge in breadth but nothing overstays it's welcome.

 

She’s on her third pressing on Bandcamp now. Nice. First was 300, second was 500, third is 500.

This album is really good, goddamn. I like when she takes the direction into ambient music, and the sax is great.

 

Been obsessed with this since it came out. It's only a half hour and somehow I could listen to this forever.

The confidence with how she delivers that line - "We're gonna put your heart back together" - is astounding

 

She's now on her fourth pressing on bandcamp. Good for her!

Thanks for asking. Sun June & Katy Kirby are contending with this right now. Stiff competition on the horizon though with releases from T Hardy Morris, Crumb, & Squirrel Flower coming over the next few months.

Sun June, Katy Kirby, and this are all very good. They will likely be top contenders for me AOTY-wise. At least top 20 at the least I’m sure.

 

I should really get around to that Sun June record.

Katy Kirby is definitely up there for me. Couldn’t get as into Sun June as a lot of people are, but I’ll spin it a few more times.

I’ve been keeping a running playlist of stuff I’ve enjoyed a lot from this year. I’ll share that, in case anyone is interested!
