I love this. I wasn’t sure how I felt about Flowers of Light on first listen but it’s all I’ve been listening to today. I was a little wary of them going with Yip because I love their records with Bayles but these two songs sound good. It’ll be interesting to hear a shorter album from them.

According to setlist.fm they're just Caspian songs. I imagine they're probably largely rearranged for the occasion, justifying the new names?

Yeah they’re all songs off older albums, I’ll try to piece them all together when I’m home but Weeks Come War was Hymn for the Greatest Generation and Flush and Branch was Gone in Bloom and Bough. I imagine they gave them other names so people wouldn’t know what they were when they got the program though Arcs is listed and Dry River is just Rioseco in English haha. The best band on the planet the new record is going to be unreal.

Thanks, that makes sense now. Very sneaky. Really hope they get the video of this show out soon, although I doubt they would do that before the new album is released.

 

I never saw them do the Dust title track on the last cycle. They never had it on any of their west coast shows, but I’m glad it’s potentially been recorded here. Hickory 54 too!

 

Have they ever played Akiko or Long The Desert Mile? Would love to see them play those songs sometime

 

High Lonesome into Hickory 54 was a highlight for me

 

And fuck Arcs of Command is another level of heavy live

 

Caspian at Lincoln Hall sounds like a fucking dream

 

Caspian x Audiotree combination has always been a dream

 

Love seeing all six of them together at the home shows.

 

Turf Club is not ideal, but should still be a good time.
