Yeah Wildblood is maybe my favorite thing on here and hands down my favorite opener from them. Everything is working on another level here.

 

The beginning of Wildblood reminds me of Pink Floyd in the best way

I’m glad I didn’t overplay Flowers Of Light because this song kills

 

I happen to really like Nostalgist, and how the vocals flow. But the three song run of Wildblood, Flowers of Lights, and Nostalgist is simply epic. Another stellar album overall

Yeah, the last minute of Collapser is maybe my favorite moment on the album.

 

Definitely check out Waking Season and Dust & Disquiet. The latter is probably my favorite album from the band, but they’re both fantastic records.

Everything before Waking Season is good, but WS is definitely when they began to hit their stride. If those albums don’t click right away for you, check out their Live from the Larcom stuff on YouTube, especially Sycamore.

 

A few listens in and I think Division Blues is my favorite so far

 

Just finished my first listen. Wildblood, Flowers of Light, and Collapser are my early favorites. Great album that I’m looking forward to spending more time with

 

The album art embodies Collapser perfectly, I keep picturing the door slamming shut as the song ends

 

I have never listened to this band before, but Wildblood was delightful.

 

Give me that stretch of Division Blues =>Ishmael. Hot damn.

 

Just started this and "Wildblood" is certainly a statement of an opener. Gives me some Dealer-era Foxing vibes, and also some PBTT especially in the drumming, but it's still definitely Caspian.

 

Ishmael grew on me a lot on the second listen.

 

Just finished my first listen and damn, starting my 2nd right now.

 

They should've gotten Dustin Kensrue to lay some vocals over Collapser. Definite Thrice vibes on that track.

 

Is that a member of the band singing on the last track? Have they sung in the past? They sound great, reminds me of Gates.

 

It’s Phil singing on that track. They had vocals on two songs on the last record (“Echo and Abyss,” “Run Dry”), and those were sung by other members of the band. Erin/Johnny on the former and Cal on the latter. Phil’s done some effect type vocals on some songs before too.

I really like how multiple members contribute vocals now that they’ve incorporated more singing, it really reinforces the family/community feel they have going on
