One day late, but happy belated to an album that continues to give me the strength to continue to wake up every day
Finally saw them tonight after basically two years since their originally scheduled show. They were great as to be expected, but definitely a casualty of all the delays - the venue was only half full roughly. Sucks as it was the same venue as their Audiotree concert performance, but finally picked up this album
Always happy for others who get to experience this band live, always massive, even if you are shy I’d recommend seeing if you can chat with them after the show, super kind people
I know they're putting out Nagoya, couldn't tell you when but it's been back in their sets lately so I think that plan they talked about is finally happening
I think they have plans for a potential b-sides release from when I was chatting with Justin on Twitter earlier this year that would feature Nagoya
that album changed so fucking much for me one of the most important albums I've ever heard but depending on the day I may not even say it's their best
For me, it’s my favorite album from them. An absolute game-changer of an album that came out at such a pivotal time in my life where my taste in music was changing and I was just getting more and more into that sound, whether it was post rock or atmospheric alternative/indie rock or ambient music or whatever. That album really clicked with me and just transports me to another realm when listening to it. Some absolute classics on that album and that was the album that finally got me into Caspian, as well as the cycle where I caught them live a couple times. Two of the most memorable shows I’ve been to.
also helped me hang on during a time that almost completely broke me but I think I'll save that for a week or two
They took Barfly off of streaming last year so I imagine this will be the b-sides release they’ve been hinting at over the last year or so
I really want this but don’t know if I can swing it at the moment. Current job ends in a few weeks and don’t have anything set in stone afterwards. Hope there are some copies left when I get a new job.
getting this if there's a UK/EU store option. hell, probably upgrading from my original pressing even if there isn't
Caspian is one of my all-time favorite bands, but sheesh, $65? Apparently this isn't going to be on streaming services either, so vinyl is the only way to hear it.
