Listening to this again for the first time in a little while now. I really do think they may have topped D&D with this one and it could be their best yet
Both D&D and WS have a special place in my heart. WS is what ultimately got me into the band in 2012 and has been one of my all time favorite albums since then, but D&D came out during a very dark period in my life and I really resonated with that album. Both are fantastic though and my favorite could honestly really change between the two of them depending on the day.
I don't think he was there for the Cabot shows to help Audiotree with the filming, but I hope the band releases more of those videos soon
the doc inspired me to finally buy the vinyl. snagged a coke bottle variant on Discogs (also bought the No Beginning shirt & postcard set from the band).
Doc was fantastic; really well produced. Wish it would have covered their process around "Nostalgist", but alas, I'm a sucker for seeing any video that shows how music is made, so I loved everything about this. Highly recommend you all check it out Watch Circles on Circles: A Cinematic Journey With Caspian Online | Vimeo On Demand
We're due our one incredible b-side/single after an album. Waking Season had Hymn, D&D had Castles, will Circles have Nogoya? E: This sounds like entitled fan but I swear it's not lol.
They did a new KEXP session a while back and it's available to watch now. Wildblood Flowers of Light Division Blues Collapser
This album has definitely stayed with me. Easily one of the best rock albums of the year. Nostalgist is the only song I can't get fully behind.
Haha, that’s my favorite from the album - interesting how differently music can be perceived by different people
