I like this a lot more than I expected - definitely different, but not in a bad way. I really like the layered vocals towards the end.

 

It sounds more pop punk. It's also slightly faster or they cut something out that I'm forgetting because it's a shorter song by ten seconds.

I like it.

but am i being silly when i say i don't see why they need 4 months to promote this re-release?

This absolutely rips. A little more polished than the original but really packs a punch

 

I'm always a little wary of re-recordings but damn does Honestly sound fantastic. Hopefully I'm able to get a copy today.

 

I think I set myself up a little bit with this first listen because I played it after Better Days and then honestly, i. Maybe not the best way to take this in for the first time.

This sounds great. Definitely WAY faster than the original.

 

re-recording of "Honestly" sounds great. it also made me revisit the music video for the original. what a time capsule.

 

It just sounded thinner coming off the Yellowcard songs that have the low end dialed up more. And I know that Will, Ken, and Zack know what they are doing, so I don't think it was the best representation for hearing the song.

 

But what about the original video of the original.

Not crazy about the vocal mix. Sounds overly compressed. I like new tempo though.

 

Vinyl records probably aren’t ready.

Well… I do have a rip of the full live session performance. Idk how much better that will be, but I can check and then splice it up this week if it’s an improvement.
