Somehow this was not on my radar until just now. Literally just hit play on the singles

 

"The Doldrums" is cool, but "Miami" is fucking awesome

 

Just listened to this. It's good for sure -- the songs are very meticulously crafted -- but anyone looking for another Superstar is going to be disappointed. It is really, really subdued. Not a bad thing by any means, because the songwriting is great (as expected), but this is 100% a stylistic shift towards something slower and less pop-oriented. Interesting stuff. Going to be a grower.

This is great. Feels like a big step forward for them, even though I loved their last two albums. Everywhere I Go I Bring the Rain is my favorite of the non-singles
