Saw her last night with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. Fucking wonderful as all hell. It was also her birthday, so there was a giant card we all signed in the lobby. I prefer a proper show of hers, because you can dance more easily. But the strings and woodwinds really did lend a lot to the songs. It was awesome.
Agreed. It was a great performance. I was shocked at how well "Cut to the Feeling" sounded with the orchestra. It was cool to see people finally get up and start dancing around for the final few songs, even though the setting was awkward. This was my most anticipated event of the year and it definitely lived up to it.
I need her to tour around here (Boston) again. I saw her a year or two ago in Providence and it was such a blast. I miss her.
