Really into how all three singles are pretty different from each other, love me a diverse album

 

Yeah I love that about Carly - I feel like Dedicated was super varied as well

I saw her twice at Coachella this year so I thought I’d be okay skipping this tour but HOLY SHIT at this setlist

that show was listed as 6 doors/7 show

bleachers ig posted four times on their story saying it was opener at 7 and carly at 8

i waited till my partner got out of school and we rolled up at around 7:45 to find out carly was already over halfway done with her set (got there during “western wind”) because she went on a whole ass hour early

what i saw was incredible but i was fucking going through it. i finally cracked a smile at “beach house” cus it’s so fun and silly. finally lost it and had to jump around a bit during “i didn’t just come here to dance” (a song i adore that she didn’t play last time she was in cleveland)

and then bleachers (who i don’t really listen to) were outstanding as well

then i got to go through it all over again when the setlist was finally posted and i saw just how many songs (a good handful of my favorite EMOTION tracks ugh) i’d actually missed

anyways i got embarrassingly sad in the carly pit for reasons i would never had guessed going into the show

go see this tour please and enjoy the first half of the set extra hard for me

I too was pissed at the absurdly early start

 

everyone i knew that was there missed some of her besides i think a friend who was shooting it

can’t send out a push notification or a quick email to say you’re starting early to avoid weather for fucks sake?

sad that i’m probably gonna be low key stewing over this until i get my mind erased in the best way at NIN this weekend

 

I'd be pissed too, that sucks.

 

I was really surprised that she started so early, but I think it probably let her play that big full-length set, so I was fine with it (I was also there about 75 minutes before doors, so I was happy to not have to wait longer, even if Isaac Dunbar was pretty entertaining).

 

When I Needed You is way too underrated. And so is the entire Kiss album.

I think I'm gonna have to spend more time with Carly's at first. Gotta familiarize before the show. But then I know everyone is gonna be going crazy over Taylor's and I'm gonna get FOMO

 

I know nothing about the music business, but how hard is it to just release it one or two weeks earlier? Is it harder than watching something you worked on for years get absolutely clobbered by Taylor Swift?

also, for what it's worth, her new song is my favorite since EMOTION.
