Oh, I did. Such a flippin' good time. Anyone with the opportunity to see her who doesn't take it is objectively and morally wrong, tbh.
She sings so well live that both times I saw her I had to actually realize during the show that it wasn't lip syncing
Man I wasn't able to film or take any pics at my show cause I could barely see a thing. Once in a while the crowd would move just so that I could see her in a little window of shoulders and arms and then some tall guy would block her again.
I'm thankfully a good height, but there was someone between me and Carly who kept raising both decently thick arms and resting them straight up into the air. Thankfully, I was able to most of the time see around said arms and occasionally through them, lol.
I'm ashamed to say I just listened to this for the first time. I'd been meaning to since it came out, but for some reason I don't know, I never got around to it. I'm baffled how this wasn't massive.
Saw her last night in Providence. Cool venue, but it was maybe half sold. She sounded fantastic. She played the 1975 during the pre music, which was exciting. I also saw Christian from the hotelier, told him I was excited for the new album, haha. Then I felt bad for briefly interrupting his night.
Since it came out I've listened to it like 3x a week at least and I still get just as excited about the songs and I dance around just as much as I did on my first listen.
My girlfriend was trying to list the top 10 most "Iago" things about me and while I did expect her to mention my love for Brand New, Jimmy Eat World, dogs, and other things, she mentioned loving this record/Carly in general is defining trait of mine and it put such a smile on my face. Would have never guessed that would make the list but I'm glad it did!
