Wait, this album is a decade old??? Wild. Her stop at Mr Smalls in Pittsburgh on the Emotion tour is still one of the first I think of when considering favorite concert experiences. Such a magical time.
Right, I was wondering why she posted so many throwback pictures from Japan then remembered how messy the album’s release was. Grateful it had the impact it had critically regardless. Top tier pop music.
Strongly recommend this album to anyone looking for something similar. I’ve been a fan of Foxes since day one, with Body Talk being one of my favorite pop songs ever and her latest album gave me EMOTION vibes so much.
I remember several of my friends riding hard for this album when it came out and I foolishly thought there was no way it could be for me. Then I saw her at Pitchfork in 2016 and I realized I was SO WRONG. Looking forward to seeing what's happening for the 10 year anniversary (also the five year anniversary feels like yesterday )
that's how i felt too. i thought "there's no way the Call Me Maybe singer made an album this great", and then i downloaded a copy someone bought from iTunes Japan and i was sorely mistaken. amazing body of work.
Literally saw her the night before in Covington, KY and it was also one of my all time favorite concert experiences. Don't know if I've ever been in a more joyful, friendly crowd. Everyone was just dancing together and it was beautiful lol
One of the most insane rollouts. “I Really Like You” got released in March 2015, she performed on SNL in April, it got released in Japan only in June and the rest of the world in late August. Scooter Braun is a menace.
Insane. I was at the album release show at the troubadour 10 years ago but probably can't make this one happen
i know she's had a good number of unreleased songs leak from this album cycle in the past, so i'm wondering if these are part of that or ones nobody's heard yet. regardless, 30 officially released songs coming out of that album cycle is exciting for sure
