i gave the album sooooooooo many spins, really really really trying to make certain songs work but after a while i gave up realizing that i just didn't think the album really worked. I really haven't liked a Carly Rae Jepsen album to tell you the truth...but i sure like a few songs

 

I like let's be friends, but like almost every song on Dedicated more than it

 

I think every song on "Dedicated" beats "Let's Be Friends."

They’re all great songs and we are lucky she keeps releasing them

 

her b sides always have me wondering the logic behind what goes on the record. like, this sounds like a pretty strong song to me, and though the vibe is different to the other stuff on dedicated, I probably would've liked this on the record as much as anything else. obvs she's got an aesthetic idea in mind but it'd be cool to hear about some of the decisions that land certain songs wherever they end up

 

I remember her saying that Cut To The Feeling was left off Emotion becuase it didn't "fit the vibe" of the album. Which makes sense as I can't see any other possible reason for leaving off a song that good lol
