It would be nice if the site could be a more welcoming place instead of a dick measuring contest about who posted what when. Does it really matter? I'm legit trying to extend an olive branch here because its doesn't need to be like this

It's really not! I get where you're coming from, just if you all paid more attention to that thread where a lot of music is posted that you would legitimately like, releases like this one wouldn't sneak up on you. I never mean to come across that way, there are just a few people (myself barely included) that highlight great music early on and often and if you like this album I think you'd have a lot to gain from what people are talking about in there

There doesn't need to be a weird division and it's not like y'all are unwanted if you want to talk about good music that pertains to the overall discussion

I don't really see it that way, I think there's a discussion in that thread where tons of great music is highlighted. Sometimes what you post really isn't a part of the broader scene we discuss, that's not a slight but once again that doesn't mean it'll gain traction. I haven't ever seen you say you liked something posted in there, I don't know. Get involved. Pretty sick of feeling like I'm part of a mean crew or something for having a certain preference. We all here for the same thing, just have fun, and we can gently poke fun at eachother without being hostile. I don't think anybody has been harsher on Casey than me, for instance, but he's my good friend. The internet doesn't have to be so personal! If we find good music, we accomplished what we are here for and the rest is whatever
