I feel like the last one was The 1975’s ILIWYS. At least I haven’t connected with an album in such a powerful way as I have with this since that 1975 album
I love this. Love to see people connecting with this album and that we’re all here celebrating it. Just really cool, special stuff that I’m thankful for
listened to this the other day and really enjoyed it, def gotta listen more intently/with lyrics sometime.
Nights we never had Small decisions, the simplest things Did you turn and look back? Call if you want to
I've had various hooks and segments from different songs stuck in my head, all at once this week. Testament to how good the lyrics and melodies are.
This album makes me want to go through the Jimmy Eat World discography. Adkins could have easily done the choruses on Colorglut and Harsh Light.
Monoculture, Hyacinth, and Strange Interactions are my favorites, without a doubt. I think there’s a strong through-line across all three of those songs that really resonates for me. The interview that @Leftandleaving did with them is really interesting. They dove a lot into the lyrics on this album and the overall narrative. Definitely something I want to dig into more after picking up on it a bit on those aforementioned songs.
It was immediately my favorite track and has only wound up taking second to Harsh Light. Major slowcore vibe on that one, the instrumental feels like an emo Duster track
sorry if this has already been mentioned but this totally reminds me of Pianos Become The Teeth in the best way
