I think this is winding up at #2 on my list this year, just behind The 1975. May as well be a tie though tbh. As the year went on I only loved this record more and more
I’ve lost count of the amount of times it’s brought me to tears. This has been such a cathartic year for me for so many reasons and that song just resonates with me so much
I am going to be starting a substack to write about and share music with anybody who cares to read/follow when I feel like posting. This is going to be the first album I write about and it’s going to be personal. I’ll post it here when it’s officially up, in case anyone is interested.
Listened to it repeatedly while moving to a different city now, emptying out my previous apartment. It will definitely cement my feelings towards the album, love it and it definitely is one of the best releases this year!
Pretty cool so far, the second song sounds like Interpol a bit and later I've been getting some Purple Mountains vibes, and tbh it is actually the drumming that sounds really interesting here
Also, just noticed in the thread title that we're getting close to an anniversary for the album, I need to spin it again on Saturday
