I was quietly disappointed by this record when it first came out, which felt like a blow because I had been desperately waiting for a new album from them for a couple of years. I didn’t think it was bad, but I listened a few times and only a few tracks really stood out to me. I kept it to myself and just never really expected to listen again. I am glad I’ve been seeing renewed hype about it around here, because I decided to give it a listen this morning and for whatever reason it hit WAY harder.
This album is still my favorite of this year and, honestly, an all-timer for me. It really resonated with me and came out at the perfect time.
