It’s just an intro. They do that a lot. Evil has like an extended two minute build at the start when they play it live

 

I like the album but it hasn’t struck me the same way Summer Megalith did. I can definitely feel it growing on me the more I listen though.

 

I feel like they’ve taken giant leaps forward from Megalith to Better to this

 

yeah. this is sorta making me revise my earlier opinion of sm honestly. that record really hit me when it dropped but im not sure why id ever wanna listen to that again when this exists

 

i'm on team "subdivided beat in 'nocturnalia' is good," makes it groovier and trippier

Saw them open for Delta Sleep last night and holy cow are they good live

I still really love Summer Megalith. I think a little better than New Preoccupations, but not by much.

 

Yeah I feel like I’m still team Megalith. This is cool though! I miss the horns

 

this is better by magnitudes so great it’s hard to even fathom

 

I hope so, maybe it’ll grow on me! I love the band regardless

 

Yeah I think Summer Megalith is solid, but the Better EP and Dark Bells were steps up and this is an even greater step up from there. Really special band

 

nothing on here as good as better tho

 

Better is their best song, followed apotheosis for me.. but this is my favorite collective work of theirs.

thinking harsh light is my fav on this. Definite battle with colorglut/Ohio.

 

hyacinth, strange interactions in the night, and colorglut are all better than better

 

Hyacinth is one of my least favorites on here :/
