This is my favorite album in some time. It upsets me deeply they're playing the same night as Joyce manor near me

 

This might beat Radical for most plays and the new circa EPs. Quite a feat.

Joyce manor… that band fell off hard for me… hopefully their next album is better than the last one

 

Crazy to me, I loved their last album

 

I should revisit it

 

It’s no Cody but that’s their best album so it never was going to be. It still rocks.

"Cody" is their best full album, second that notion too ;d Besides the small fact that some of their best songs come from other albums, but that one is just a fully great piece of work. As for Caracara I also got the PBTT impression within the first minute of the first song I heard when Will Yip posted about releasing their EP, so it seems fair people mention it as RIYL. Would love another PBTT album along the way, wondering how would it sound. It will probably take time (Kyle Durfey's new band Burial Waves released their EP just last year).

 

Cody is probably my favorite. I believe we’re getting new PBTT this year also

 

Oh! That would fall under my most anticipated then ;u

i thought the consensus was that NHA was their best. guess i was wrong, but it's my choice.

 

thats what i thought too. i could personally go for any of them except mdtkm tho

 

consensus seems split between NHA and Cody from what I can tell. /shrug

 

Both are amazing and I go back and forth on those, so this makes sense. Catalina fight song is GOAT

I genuinely thought Cody was pretty polarizing, maybe it’s just a loud minority that sticks in my mind when I think of the reception of the record. I have never been that big on NHA relatively speaking (still think it’s really good just not my fav) and Cody really reignited my love for the band in a way. I always figured S/T and NHA were the most favored.
