I’m curious what people who are really familiar with the original album think of the re-recorded one. My friend listened to the new singles, said they were terrible, and that Will had “neutered” the songs. I’ve listened to the original and love it: the lo-fi sound reflects a messiness that’s fitting for the lyrical content of the album. But I find the new stuff just as good in different ways. “Famous Prophets” totally soars to me, for example, or “Bodys” hits way, way harder.
