It's crazy how much bigger he's gotten since I first heard this, also stoked to see him twice in November
Saw them last night. Such a fun show! I was bummed though, I wanted to get a shirt or something but they had one t for sale size small only and a couple of CDs.
Listen To Car Seat Headrest’s Live Piano Version Of “Drunk Drivers/Killer Whales” | SPIN @Cody did you go to this?
probably top 10 for me, top 20 at the very least really love this songs but it's tough to separate how annoying he can be from the songs and it keeps me from wanting to come back too often
curious what you would consider "annoying" about him, i really haven't ever seen that complaint so i'm interested what you have to say
idk what exactly it is. his social media brand is pretty abrasive and something about his interviews just kinda rubs me the wrong way. idk
I saw them live at a fest a few months back and it wasn't a good set--the tempo was really dragging and it looked like he was really unhappy to be there. I don't really hold it against them--I think for certain personalities live shows or prolonged touring weighs really heavily on them. It was a bummer though because their televised Fill in the Blank performance slayed so I had high hopes.
last time i saw them was hands down the best they've been, and i've seen some great sets. they felt so loose, improvised more...so many renditions of songs were so different than i had ever seen them before. they mix and match setlists a lot too, covers...that's why i made my post calling them the modern jam band
I still need to see them!! I sold my ticket last minute bc the show was the day after TIFF and I just needed an evening of rest.
Car Seat Headrest: Drunk Drivers/Killer Whales - The Tonight Show holy shit wow the ascendance of this band this year is one of the wildest things in the best way
