Yeah it grew on me. Brb gonna have breakdown listening to What's With You Lately because it hits to close to home.
the digital sequence of this is way better than any others. strange how much of a difference it makes.
So I’m really familiar with Teens of Denial and Twin Fantasy obviously (and Teens of Style). I really like the new one. I feel like How to Leave Town is regarded as his best bandcamp release and I’ve listened to that one quite a bit. what else is absolutely essential
This is a little uneven, not everything works, and I think some of it could have been executed a little better, but overall I like it. It doesn’t match up with TOD or TF, but it’s a solid record with some great songs.
I've only given it a couple of listens, but to me this album feels like some of their best songs mixed with some interesting experiments that could have been better executed. But it's pretty good overall
Because of the differences between streaming, vinyl, and CD releases, fans are starting to put together their own MADLO mixes (which Will encouraged, citing The Life of Pablo lol) - here's my current version, pulling from a few different sources. Both 'Closing a Door' and 'Making a Door More Open' are on the CSHFans subreddit. This version clocks in at 68 minutes. If you give it a spin, let me know! 1. What’s the Closing a Door Version? I also despise the acoustic version of Hollywood. Will was right when he said that song did not fit his range.
Same please! I definitely want to take this playlist project on & find a way to enjoy the gems on this release without suffering through the colossal duds.
After my second listen I love Hollywood, and still confused by the hate. It’s like any experimental MM/Pavement song. It actually reminds me a lot of Slanted & Enchanted era Pavement which I love.

New album (beginning to be) in the works already The Restless, Stressed-Out Genius of Car Seat Headrest
Hollywood is a song I actually do like but I also make sure to skip when I’m playing the album at work. I love Deadlines (Thoughtful).
I liked Hollywood, and I’m pretty sure I like it even more now. In a normal world it’s one of those strange songs that would become a huge crossover hit. then you would go to packed CSH shows at festivals and everyone around you would be waiting to hear “Hollywood”.
