Maybe it's just my mood but this is hitting me way harder than what I listened to of the vinyl rip yesterday.

 

It’s so stupid there’s two versions. I liked the vinyl one but the streaming version is already better and I’m only to “Martin”

 

This record is sick. Hollywood isn't great, but whatever, the rest is good.

Also I think Deadlines > Deadlines (Thoughtful) > Deadlines (Hostlie). They’re all really cool, but hearing the original kinda leaves me wanting a little more from the other two.

 

I love the chorus of the vinyl Deadlines but hostile slaps

 

I can’t believe how different Hymns is.

 

Yeah I just really miss the chorus in these two versions :(

I really kind of hate this different versions thing. I won’t miss Hymn really when I’m listening to the digital version but I wish I could find somewhere to fit the original version of Deadlines.

 

yeah, its stupid. I don't think I would have bought the vinyl had I realized this (I probably overlooked it because I am stupid).

I really wish Will sang on Whats WIth You Lately.

 

Unless I’m misinterpreting it, it feels really powerful coming from someone else assuming the narrative is someone talking to Will. It’s one of my favorite moments on the album.

Also Martin through Famous is such a good stretch, TMBMTB works so much better as a penultimate track

 

Yea after reading all this I feel like I’m being punished for buying the vinyl which...maybe that was the point? Haha.

all the songs I dislike on this sound like they’re better in their alternate versions (Hymn, Deadlines) and I agree having TMBMTB as a penultimate track is better sequencing.

 

some one said you get all 3 versions digitally with the vinyl, but yeah this was a dumb decision.

I’ll still probably pick up the vinyl, I was really liking the vinyl version even before this and between tomorrow being bandcamp Friday and really loving this album and the pink pressing I’ll be happy with my purchase. Just not sure how much I’ll spin it (that’s probably most of my record collection though lmao)

 

I liked the vinyl too. I am cool with having it/supporting the band so its whatever. It just prob wont be played as much as the others.

Unrelated, I have the VM,P version of Teens of Denial (neon yellow, its so sick haha) and its probably my most played record. My wife loves it too and its kind of our fall back album when we cant agree on anything.

 

Fair enough. Guess I’ll just listen to a digital make track list instead of the vinyl.

 

Bah. I cancelled my vinyl preorder a while back because I was just spending wayyyy too much on wax. I might repurchase the pink or black tomorrow on Bandcamp so they get all the proceeds.

 

I've had this on repeat all day long, so I guess I love it.

I can't stop listening to this album either. I've only heard the vinyl version though, so I am excited to hear the other versions!
