Haven't been a fan of this band for super long, it'd be nice if an album came soon and I didn't have to wait long for it. They use some interesting chord progressions on the last one, some atonal stuff that reminds me a lot of Cursive. I hope they tone down some of the chuggy punk breakdown parts just a bit though

 

Anyone hear any of their new songs? Apparently they've played at least 4 live

 

Some of them come from Bobby's solo album iirc

 

They just announced a Columbus show in July, and I made up my mind to go instantly.

 

I'm thinking they will have announced new album information by then. Might even be able to pick one up by then (hey I can be hopeful right?). They responded to a tweet of mine back in March saying the album was completed.

Also they look to be doing some sort of countdown on Twitter... I think?

 

If it was a countdown it would have been today tho I think

they were just pretty inactive more than anything
RFC didn't have any real reason to drop them

I know that's not the best metric, but still.

 

New song is everything I dreamed of and more. Maybe it's just me but am I the only one getting some emo influence from this? And the production seems a bit rawer than The Future is Cancelled, but it works so damn well.

 

Oh hell yeah there's a ton of emo in here. Really fits them imo

Looks like there will be some Menz/CWS tour dates together later this year!

 

The more I listen to this song the more I love it and we only have to wait a month and a half, thank god. The wait between Montreal and TFIC being released was a real struggle

 

Finally will be able to hear a Captain We're Sinking album on release date. Love this band. Song rules.

 

the guitar tones really remind me of their 2010 and 2011 EPs which is cool
