Just one step closer to Kamala Khan in the MCU which is never a bad thing.

 

I really enjoyed this. Took a while to build up for me but definitely kicked ass. Also great to see Brie Larson do yet another fantastic job. Been a fan of hers for a while now. The cat was also a nice surprise and I hope we get to see more super-animals in the MCU down the line. (Ahem, Cosmo the Spacedog!!)

Also, I really need to go back and watch the movie Short Term 12. Not only is Brie in it, but Rami Malek AND Stephanie Beatriz (Rosa from B99) are also in it. It's a fantastic movie in general, but seeing them in a little known movie before they got big (especially all the buzz they have now) is also a sight to see.

 

It’s always so weird to hear Stephanie Beatriz’ regular voice, I’m so used to Rosa.

 

Oh wow didn't realize Brie is only a day older than my girlfriend

 

I know it’s just a variant cover but wow I’m so excited to get captain marvel on the cover.

That would'v been amazing

 

This was fine. Didn’t really enjoy much of Carol until she heard the audio from the plane crash. The shot of her walking out after hearing to cutting close to her breathing heavily was so damn good. I think this would have been a lot better 5 years ago.

Music was kind of lame considering Carol didn’t know any of the songs....

I hope Endgame doesn’t really too heavily on her, undercutting the original team. I think she’s going to be really fun post Endgame Avenger stuff.

 

Saw this last night and for the most part really really enjoyed it. I think the only issue i had was it at time felt super all over the place in terms of trying to explain her past, it almost felt like they were trying to fit an origin story and then the sequel into one film, like how she got to be where she is/the events with mar vell and then the storyline where she helps the skrulls seem like they could have been two separate movies. But this mostly was a ton of fun and brie larson rocks.

 

I did also think they tried a little too hard with the soundtrack - but it didnt take away from it at all for me.

Saw this today and really enjoyed it. It was great that my step-daughter was so excited to see it too!

I definitely have some criticisms of the movie but overall it was a really enjoyable film, with some really empowering themes/scenes.

Brie killed it too...she’s so damn likeable.

 

I liked it. Didn't love it. Felt like for the weight she's carrying going into Endgame as the player to change the field, this movie was a bit underwhelming in that aspect. Would love a sequel most likely.
