Did some work with the Avengers Iniative last night at the Cinemark at the Pike in Long Beach. Took tons of photos with kids and families on their way in and out of their Captain Marvel screenings.

I too really enjoyed the newest MCU movie, “Individual One”.

 

Just got back. I really enjoyed myself. I would have preferred a little toned down on the nostalgia, but otherwise I loved it. Plus I'm a sucker for anything Brie.

 

$61 million for Friday.

This was fun, enjoyed it. Now I can’t wait for Endgame

 

Did this movie ever explain how Mar Vell got the Tesseract after the events of Captain America?

I googled it and apparently it was revealed in Iron Man 2 that Howard Stark worked on Project PEGASUS so that's the link. I never saw that movie because of the poor reviews haha

 

Howard Stark recovered it after the plane went down when he was looking for Steve, right? Probably just got passed around a bit and wound up with Mar Vell

 

this is on my mind as well; as someone else above said, using the Tesseract felt like needless fanservice (oooh remember this from our other movies ?!?) but it doesn't really need to be there. it also ends up just throwing a wrench into their established continuity and raises more questions

 

BUT, all in all i loved this movie. Brie was really wonderful and had such great personality and great chemistry with Sam.
only wish we got more time with the Carol Corp to get to them better.

 

that track suit is awesome.

 

I LOVED this movie. The tone was different than most Marvel movies. The tone was a little darker and it went all in on the sci-fi elements and not necessarily the “superhero” elements. I also liked how it was relevant to what’s going on in the world with families being separated. I totally forgot Annette Benning was in this until I saw her. And that mid-credits scene got me more pumped than I thought it would.

 

Yeah I loved what they did with the Skrulls here. I was invested in that storyline by the end and I was fully behind Captain Marvel in her quest.

 

Not perfect but the soundtrack to this is fantastic, several favourites of mine featured and any film that features Lita Ford is on to a great start.

 

Just saw it last night and really loved it. I thought the way her origin was presented was great for helping her grow into the powerful hero by the end. The way they established the Skrulls was great as well. The ending left them some good opportunities for a sequel while also setting up well for Endgame.

 

"The last time I trusted someone I lost an eye" is such a better line in Winter Soldier now.

 

Quick question for anyone who listens to movie podcasts. Do you prefer it when episodes about new movies are released shortly after the movie is out or Is 1-2 weeks later better so more people have had a chance to see it?

Asking since I’m recording about this today and can’t decide if I want to bump the episode I already have scheduled for Tuesday in favor of this one.
