Marvel has definitely been killing it with the marketing for this.

They could've easily just recorded one with my name, then edited in the second syllable for yours

The Secret Wars Civil War tie-in? Never read it, though it did look good. I'm guessing it ended with a Secret Invasion-style twist?

 

MAYBE.

By the middle of it, I kinda went, "OH YEAH, THAT'S HOW THEY RETCONNED IT THE FIRST TIME." It was a pretty good way of pulling a few different storylines together.

 

I'm gonna have to pick up more of these tie-ins. Between the quality of the main event and the potential allowed by the tie-ins, Secret Wars really was a great event, maybe the best. Too bad I wasted two pull list spots on Ultimate End and Old Man Logan, lol.

 

At least OML looked pretty.

I started all of them, but these were the ones I made it through.

 

My favorites were Renew Your Vows and 1602. Also loved A-Force but got busy and never finished reading it. Infinity Gauntlet, Civil War, Captain Marvel, and Years of Future Past are the ones I most want to check out.

 

Something about Captain Marvel confused the hell out of me. The art was gorgeous, but I had no idea what was going on. Haha. IG was gorgeous and really engaging. The family dynamic was fantastic.

 

Infinity Gauntlet is easily the one I most regret not pulling. What I saw of the art looked great. Did the family live? Maybe they'll show up in the main universe someday.

I've been playing this Marvel: Avengers Academy game on my iPhone for a few days and couldn't stop thinking "Iron Man sounds a ton like Dave Franco". So I looked up the cast and it's far more star-studded than I'd've expected a mobile game to be. Dave Franco as Iron Man, Alison Brie as Black Widow, John Cena as the Hulk, and A$AP Rocky as Falcon, which is super fun.

 

I wish A$AP Rocky was Falcon in the movies too
