The NY attack in Avengers 1 was mentioned a few times in phase 2. The plot of IM3 revolves around Tony’s PTSD from the attack. It’s mentioned in Winter Soldier. It’s another point in Age of Ultron when Tony explains why he wanted to make Ultron, etc. All that was within 3 years of the films release.

yeah they mentioned “defending new york” several times in IW/EG too iirc though not really since

It was also mentioned in Civil War as an example of the Avengers' collateral damage

Plus the Netflix shows mentioned the incident with the big green guy and the flag man a couple times

It's also brought up multiple times in the Netflix shows, if you count them.

Edit: Rocco was on it, I was too slow.

Don’t they also go back to that fight in endgame?

Avengers was 2012, IW was 2019. 7 years later they revisit. We still got plenty of time to address our stone boy.

I’m so confident they’ve moved past addressing the Space God Corpse (please use official terminology) in the manner I wish

I just wanted to see people sitting in a coffee shop like “so apparently we were just an egg? And now he’s just kinda…there? And also night and day no longer work like they used to? Weird stuff man. Weird stuff.

I was honestly expecting it to happen at some point in one of the D+ shows.

Would have even taken a “What If….this was your universe” focused on just being a normal person in a super hero world haha

it won't be in any movie

Well it’s not gonna be in anything lol

But I’m also not like pressed about it. I think it’s funny. It hasn’t like ruined the MCU for me.

I just think about how long I was thinking about Chernobyl being on fire a few years ago and can’t imagine how much the space god corpse would have consumed my life.

I can't imagine how bad things would have to get for a giant Space God Corpse™ to show up in the ocean and I just shrug my shoulders and go on to buy groceries or something.

I personally would find it more notable than the battle of New York lol

I can wrap my head around an alien invasion. But that my entire existence was to be a battery for the space god hatching beneath me would fuck me upppp lol

Well, the public wouldn't know that bit though, the Eternals all fucked off somewhere, so they wouldn't be able to explain the egg part.

Oh the earth had her egg cracked? Good for her. Did it happen watching I Saw the TV Glow? Excited for her to get on hormones.

I’m pretty sure the only coherent reference in phases 4/5 to an event that took place within the MCU is the blip and Thanos. They’ve both been mentioned in pretty much half the shows and films since Endgame.

From what I remember they’ve been mentioned in Far from home, Eternals, no way home, antman 3, brave new world

For the shows it has been WandaVision, falcon & winter soldier, Hawkeye, Loki, she-hulk, secret invasion.

At least that’s something of consistency
