The thing for me is that we do this dance a lot on here, and for every Marvels or Quantumania, there's a No Way Home or Guardians 3 or Deadpool that is just as successful as anything else, even if it doesn't impress people here.

And it's not like it wasn’t that way before either. The Thor films until Ragnarok and the Iron Man sequels were not well received either.

I dunno, maybe this conversation has no end and it'll always be this way.

$88 million domestic opening weekend. It’s not bad, but not great. Sort of like the movie. So it fits.

There were a fair few questionable camera shots throughout. The end scene where Cap is trying to talk down Red Hulk, Cap was shot really weirdly. Like a proper shit green screen job. Was really distracting.

This was fine. However, I won't watch it or think about it again.

This was cookin for the first 20-30 mins until he goes to see Isiah Bradley in prison then it just becomes so so boring.

This is the most “okay” movie I may have ever seen lol. The new falcon is so horribly miscast and wtf is that cgi at the end. Hated new Widow.

Some cool fights. Red Hulk was fun and coulda been the coolest surprise

I really really wish this could have leaned more into the Isaiah Bradley stuff and what Sam says about the pressure of being Captain America at the end

I do think they should have advertised the Leader more and Red Hulk less or not at all.

Marvel for a while now has been advertising things that should be surprise payoffs, and it used to be because they had payoffs to spare, but now it just feels like they’re lacking confidence.

Like, to go on, a scene like that in the trailer should be in the middle at least, not the final fight of the film.

I remember Endgame only had scenes from the first third. That's how you do it.

I think them leaning so hard into Red Hulk just shows how little confidence they had in the story.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

I actually thought Leader was the best part of this lol, Nelson was the only actor who knew what kinda movie he was in. the scene where he explodes the guy's heart rules

Red Hulk looked pretty cool and all but it was an underwhelming fight

Saying again, not having Hulk in this was such a huge missed opportunity for a wild amount of catharsis what with Ross, Betty, and Leader all being in the film. Like, it's really weird that they made this a Captain America film in the end. I get why on some level, what they were going for, but I kind of wish they hadn't.

'It was a conversation we had': Captain America: Brave New World producer reveals The Hulk almost appeared in the Marvel movie – here's why he didn't

Found this article, and honestly, it feels like horseshit.

Firstly, I never really considered there to be this big divide between Sam and Ross that we desperately needed a film to explore. If we needed someone to help Ross come to terms with his failings and his better half, Bruce is quite clearly the most obvious vehicle for that evolution.

Secondly, they say they wanted this film to be about Sam's personal journey, but he really... doesn't do much to change as a character in the entire film. He's pretty much the same person at the beginning as he was at the end, except maybe he feels more confident about bringing back the Avengers, but I don't think he did a whole lot to reach that conclusion.

I'd really say this film is way more about Ross than it is about Sam, which again makes it baffling they ruled out including Hulk in the film. If they were worried about Hulk overshadowing Sam, then it's because they didn't make a story that plays to Sam's strengths as a character.

Where is the Hulk? Was the last time we saw him in She Hulk? Like why wouldn’t he pop in if there was another hulk running around

I mean, Red Hulk has like 7 minutes of screen time. Not a lot of time for Banner to show up.

This was a dud. Make a Wish Falcon is so so so disappointing. Esposito was a waste of a excellent actor. Leader was a terrible villain. Post credit scene could have been something amazing to promote Doom/Secret Wars and it was the most lazy, vague conversation.
