I slept through a good chunk of this. I think I was equally tired when I watched Companion last week. I was fully awake for that movie. Take that as you will.

Didnt hate this but its a bit messy

-looked at my watch at one point thinking there had to be 20 minutes left and it was somehow only an hour in
-did not like anything with The Leader, felt like he was in a different movie
-a lot of the cgi backgrounds (cherry blossom scenes, space god corpse) looked so bad I was actually taken aback
-does anyone else have the strange urge to buy a truck or hummer from GM?

 

The magic’s gone and idk if they’ll get it back. Even my wife was like “I don’t know if I care for these anymore”

Have you seen it yet? Maybe you will after there’s a lingering shot of the huge front truck of the all new Hummer EV

Those Hummer EVs are somehow bigger than the OG Hummers. Almost wider than a normal car lane. Comical

I have never in my life seen a vehicle and thought I needed one. Not counting fictional vehicles like various spaceships and such. Which obviously is not what we’re talking about. Advertising does work on me for other things, but not for a car.

I will continue to maintain my theory that they oversaturated waaaay too much after the infinity saga was done and tried to do too much too soon. People needed a breather for a couple of years there, and instead they got roughly 1.5 years of one that was filled with Covid, and then were thrown back into the mcu with 4 movies and 5 tv shows in 2021. It was too much too soon after the saga+covid trauma imo

 

Pay in cash. Problem solved.

Yeah, all the “They lost the magic” talk to me is a bit much. They definitely got lost in the woods post-“Endgame,” along with Jonathan Majors causing them to re-route the entire trajectory of the MCU.

This feels like a network burning off a show it didn’t end up wanting. From there, it definitely feels like they’re going to be playing it safer, so it will probably be a bunch of three-star movies that can’t touch the fanaticism or magic of “Infinity War”/“Endgame,” but will satisfy fans enough that the gravy train will keep chugging along.

 

Harrison Ford sold me a jeep during the Super Bowl.

 

I didn’t watch so I have no idea what that means. I assume he did a commercial. Hope you like your new jeep.

It’s nice the pro Trump QB got destroyed. Despite Philly being trash (obligated to say being from Pittsburgh), I’m glad a PA team won. Kendrick hating on Drake like that is funny.
