Mackie had a good response and because he didn’t say “yay America” he’s getting shit. The people mad at him are the same ones that are Nazis and think that shows their nationalism. Spider-Man kid is a fucking dweeb. It’s not really a culture war, it’s the same fucking idiots screaming on the internet that have been doing it for years and making everything toxic as hell. This is nothing new.

 

I agree with Mackie’s statement. I think anyone with a brain does. But if it underperforms domestically we know who people will be pointing their fingers at. Was Mackie correct? Yes. Was it smart to say that while marketing the movie? Probably not.
