I’m glad they’ve moved it again. This really feels like something that needs to be seen in a theater, and September just wouldn’t be safe. I doubt the new date will end up happening either, but it’s a start.
I only have vague memories of seeing the original when I was way too young to see it...is Tony Todd gonna be in this at all?
Interested to see what Peele and DaCosta do with this. The original arguably speaks to the skewed white perspective on certain black communities and kind of demolishes the white savior. I’ve always wondered if that was intentional but since the movie is told from the white liberal’s perspective it’s hard to tell. The original is definitely a unique horror film.
