(CANCELLED) FYF Fest 2018 Festival

Definitely a weird lineup, but it’s enough to make me wanna go. It’ll be cooler since I’ll be living in SoCal starting this summer.

I wanna see The Breeders, MBV, Stephen Malkmus, and GLASSJAW

I always wonder how long it will be before the festival bubble crashes but it sucks that the canceled show had such a killer lineup

 

Way too many festivals in that area.

 

I can only speak for myself but there’s like 4 artists on that lineup I’m familiar with. Not surprised people aren’t interested.

 

Yeah, the lineup was panned by a lot of FYF’s usual attendees/demographic. Probably sold really bad

 

Also I know things get bigger and cost more money but in 2009 I paid $20 to see Converge, TDEP, Lightning Bolt, Lucero, Cold Cave, and Kurt Vile.

 

The early major festivals have long time name recognition and are as much a destination as it they are concerts (Coachella bonaroo and lolla). With their being a festival every 100 miles now...and they all have the same lineup... And we are now a few years into this festival spree... they all feature bands that have been there a few times now.

In a nut shell I'm not sure what the draw is for 90% of these indie/pop festivals

 

this lineup was good but not amazing like it usually is. combined with the whole former curator of the festival is a rapist thing and i'm not surprised this got cancelled

 

Someone make a fucking Portland festival already like this. We’ll take it!

At this point I think Indy is the only major without a festival

 

New shows got announced around LA/OC area to make up for cancellation

 

No Florence :( Totally missed out on tickets for her show at Walt Disney so I really hoping she'd be one of the new shows announced. Bummer.
