The hype is real. Album is amazing. Got into it a few weeks ago because of Soupy's year end list. Microwave too.
I think about how badly I would like to see them every day. Just started listening to Georgia's pre-Camp Cope stuff the last week too. Love the With a Q 7".
I bought a vinyl. Paid more for shipping than the actual record. I don't regret it at all though haha
I'd think they get over here before FEST next year. Very surprised they're not on MoBo's Spring tour.
and that would have solved many problems at once, hah TWY's tour for their new record should bring them out, that'd be a big deal
It would be amazing if Courtney Barnett brought them out and helped them break outta the scene here. She chose them as her artist to watch for some p4k article today.
It wouldn't be a stretch to say they're going to be one of 2017's "breakout" artists. They're already riding a bump off the EOTY list love.
everytime I see this thread get bumped I think it's either a signing/tour/new song... still just as exciting to see people get behind this band
Picked up the split from my local disc slinger this morning. The vinyl itself is very pretty and the re-work of Footscray Station is awesome. I dunno if it's hit the net yet, but if anyone wants the mp3, send me a PM.
Man, that looks awesome. I'm seeing Cayetana on that Lemuria tour in a few weeks, I'm really hoping they have copies of the split so I can pick one up.
Triple J in Australia has a monopoly on young bands because it's the biggest and best chance for them to catch a big break. Near on can't make it without their support here but if you get it you can go pretty bloody far with it. Poison City does a good job too but half of us wouldn't have heard it if Triple J didn't pick it up and build the hype I reckon.
Actually a bit disappointed with Footscray. The old acoustic one is much better in my opinion. They didn't do anything interesting with it. Pretty dull.
Agreed. I still like it, but I was hoping/expecting a pretty big rework. I thought it was gonna be faster.
