I guess I should check out Smith Street Band

 

It's weird how many people I've seen compare this to Smith Street Band, because I absolutely cannot get into them at all.

 

can't say i like that as much as any song on here

only thing that sounds similar is the aussie accent imo

 

i think the delivery and style are similar, smith street band is just louder and more dynamic musically

 

The Aussie accent is the only connection I can make too.

Hop Along or Chumped is a much better comparison to this band.

 

i hear some hop along but not really, this band is a little more subdued, chumped isn't even close. chumped is a straight up pop punk band, there's none of that here

 

Mostly vocal style for the Chumped comparison. Similar deliveries.

A more subdued Hop Along is accurate, that's probably the exact descriptor I would use if I had to give one comparison to someone.

I've been singing Flesh and Electricity in my head nonstop since Sunday. It's becoming a problem.

Gave this a listen today and really liked it. "Flesh and Electricity" in particular is great.

 

What's the Twin Peaks reference? I'm a big fan and somehow missed that.
