Six months into the year, this is still probably my AOTY.

 

I love that despite the huge releases this year from people like Kanye and Radiohead, my favorite record of the year is from this small band from Australia.

 

Zane Lowe played Lost (Season One) on Beats1 today, pretty cool for them

That's the fastest I've ever gone from not knowing a band existed to buying their album. Damn.

 

Omg why did I sleep on this for so long it is so so so good.

 

jet fuel popped up on my discover weekly a month or so ago and it reeled me in instantly. love love love this album

 

This is really good. Before, or shortly thereafter Georgia formed the band.

 

Her solo stuff on bandcamp isn't half bad either. Kind of endearing.

 

This is great. So pleasantly surprised.

Thanks! I had stumbled upon the Brain Studio Session a few weeks ago and was hoping to stumble upon some more acoustic tracks like these.

 

If you go here, she has a bunch of covers and stuff she threw together that she posted to youtube as well.

This is so so awesome.

 

Listened to this on a whim and it's pretty immediately one of the best things I've heard this year. Going to be spending some serious time with this, I imagine. Her vocals sound so familiar yet so distinct.

Also, that album cover is adorable.

 

The Aussie accent is so refreshing. The lyrics and music are fantastic but I bet I wouldn't like it quite as much if it was American or something.

 

i tried listening to this once and didn't care for it, maybe it's time to give it another shot

 

really enjoying this. i think these days it takes really good or particular lyricism to draw me in from this type of band with this kind of production.

 

The lyrics are amazing! Twin Peaks reference in Trepidation!!! Tigers Jaw references!! Feminist themes in Jet Fuel!! I love this album and it's only been a day of listening to it!!!!

 

tried again. still don't care for this, reminds me of a slightly less dynamic smith street band
