She told it before the song posted here about girls and the music scene with the quota line at the end
I was already all-in after hearing their debut, and then I listened to the Split and that song floored me
Search Georgia Maq bandcamp. She's got some little gems out there. "New Phone, Who's This?" Is my personal favourite.
It is my favorite too. Thats why I was so beyond stoked she specifically played it for me in NJ. She said she doesn't like playing it because she wrote it when she was really young and she finds the song embarrassing and not that great.
Wow, if she only knew how good it is! So, next time they come around here, you'll need to go with so they'll play it for me?
Another tidbit from last night. For the 7 months I've been obsessed with Camp Cope, I just assumed they were really popular. I guess I live in my own bubble. It was odd going to the show, seeing a crowd of only like 150 people, and being one of like 3 people in the crowd singing along. People were enjoying them, though. It's kinda cool we're all into this great band before anyone else.....I definitely think their next album/tour will see them in much bigger rooms.
very different for me. the show I went to the person checking tickets asked everyone who they were here to see and kept a tally. the support was overwhelmingly for Camp Cope, like EVERYONE. once they were done the room cleared out. which is a damn shame because Worriers/Katie Ellen we so good.
for sure. always find it interesting that a band from outside of the country can still have a regional impact in the states. and yeah, I think I enjoy Katie Ellen more than Chumped. so good.
I didn't know Katie Ellen was from Chumped, just played her album and enjoyed it The whole room was singing Camp Cope in Chicago, beautiful experience
Finally listened to these last night. Damn. Done is incredible. I listened to it six times before I managed to get to track two. Only got through the first half but I'm really into what I heard.
Had this on earlier while cruising down Lakeshore Drive on a beautiful night, and was thinking how much more wonderful of a time I was having than if I were 100 feet to my left at Lollapalooza lol
