Camp Cope Is OK With Getting Big, If Fans Still ‘Cry and Lose Their Minds’ NYT says stateside headlining tour later this year! :)
both articles kinda touched on her taking vocal lessons and singing differently now, imo she sounds incredible on the tracks so far and hasn't lost too much of her edge
Obviously way more lowkey than anything else they’ve put out but this still rules. Love like you do and say the line are standouts aside from the singles. And holy shit Sing Your Heart Out is an insane closer. Actually made me shed a few tears. You can change and so can I
Yeah this is pretty immediately my favorite thing they’ve done after 2 listens. It’s such a good vibe throughout, but still has those absolutely heartbreaking lyrics.
This isn't as immediate for me as their last two albums after the first listen. But I enjoyed it enough definitely gonna be listening a lot today.
Have to echo the sentiment that it isn’t as immediate as their previous material to me, but it’s still a good album!
I feel like this is going to get the Japanese Breakfast treatment with the cover story and then high 7 score.
first song can immediately tell that this band has taken a massive step forward, wow. easily their best.
this is definitely the most I have ever liked their music, I still have my gripes, but the core songwriting and lyricism and Georgia’s voice are just hard to deny. huge step up in the melodic department imo, not just vocally but all around. the range feels wider somehow than their last couple and I didn’t feel like everything blurred together like I tend to do with them. really don’t vibe with the production, I think that’s my biggest complaint all-in-all. very pleasantly surprised tho, altogether, I can def see myself revisiting this.
The harmonies on this album are so great. I think my initial favorites are Say the Line and One Wink at a Time.
