The 200 Best Songs of the 2010s Camp Cope made #52 on Pitchfork's list with "The Opener" and they deserve it so much.
Alright and Dancing on My Own absolutely. 212 is a banger too, idk about rewarding Banks for all the dumb shit she's said, tho. Seems to have hurt Kanye
Happy to see Camp Cope make it so high on the list. Also happy to see Charli multiple times on here, True Love Waits make in in the top 100, and Love it If We Made it in the Top 20. Though I don't really agree with the top 10 (but friggin awesome to see Grimes at #2), overall pretty impressed with this list. Was expecting much worse.
If you were to draw a venn diagram of my top 200 of the 2010s and pitchfork's top 200 of the 2010s, the overlap section would be "The Opener at #52"
10 years is a long period to put into a top 200 list but I'm sure that The Opener, Keep Growing, and Footscray Station would all be on mine.
“The Opener” definitely wouldn’t be my pick for this band or even this album but I absolutely get why it’s “the one”
Yeah the Opener is great but it wouldn't be my choice.....I would've said Face of God or Keep Growing.
The Opener is the biggest middle finger to the industry so I think it's perfect for the list, I don't think there can be a better one for it (despite personal preference for one song over another). Getting on Pitchfork's top 200 songs of the decade list for the song in which you call out all of the people, and in particular, awful men who told them they'd never make it? Chef's kiss.
