Of all the songs on here, The Omen has grown on me the most. Lyrically, it's my easy favorite here and one of Georgia's best overall.
And I've never needed God I think I kinda knew that all along To need a promise of heaven To do good deeds Always seemed inherently wrong Like, fuck.
That was so perfect and the fact that the setlist was written on a notepad from Days Inn makes me love Camp Cope even more.
I haven't felt so engaged with the music and a crowd like I was last night in so long. My throat actually hurts from singing so much and I can't remember the last time that has happened to me. I got really overwhelmed when they started playing Keep Growing to the point there I was holding back tears lol. The reaction from the crowd was insane. People were cheering mid song, and the applause after each track seemed to get louder and longer every time. Like, in a way that I don't see outside of massive stadium shows. The wait to see them over the past year plus has been long but it was so worth, even if the setlist wasn't my ideal (the same as above minus Done). I really hope they come back again soon, because that felt really special.
The setlist at the Montreal show was just in a note on Georgia's phone that she had to keep on stage haha.
Space is a 200 cap. Wasn’t sold out but I would guess at least 150. Most people seemed there for Camp Cope.
Nice. We probably had 60 or so in Ottawa. Looked like more for An Horse and a bunch of them left after.
Probably about 100-150 at the Montreal show, split pretty evenly for Camp Cop and An Horse. Also putting it out there that Camp Cope are some of the nicest people.
Damn I am excited to see these in London in a few months. I can, see myself, living without you AND BEING FINE FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE
Revisiting both albums more now and apparently Wil Wagner from Smith Street does backing vox on the self-titled? I also I need to listen to more Petal but really liked Shame.
I think he and Georgia used to date. There’s a little bit of bad blood between the bands now unfortunately.
Saw them 4 times in the past two weeks after only seeing Georgia do a solo set at Fest, there was no way I was missing seeing a full band set after being out of the country last time they visited North America. Every show was brilliant and heartbreakingingly good plus all three members of the band are genuinely lovely people. Here's a video I took from their first night in Philadelphia with the random puppy video playing in the background which was surpassed the second night with Chris Farren's background video being played almost the entire set.
Was very impressed with G Maq’s voice tonight! Didn’t expect it to be so strong. Also, her “I can make mistakes cause it’s my birthday” comments were endearing.
Yeah they were amazing. Probably the closest you can get to hearing a band's exact recorded sound replicated live, I know that's partially because that's how they record their music but still. Just unbelievably good live
