I think his sound a little silly not isolated, too, but I'm not saying that's a bad thing. Just something I have to be in the mood for.
Love his voice but I did send this to a friend who made it 2 min in before texting me to ask if it was a joke
I recommended it to a friend who texted me “ehhh I dunno” and then the next day he sent me the Frank Reynolds gif lol
i like pretty much every track here more than anything ive heard from geese with the exception of taxes, which rules, so im pretty excited for the upcoming album
haven't shown this to my wife or any friends bc i cannot imagine the response would be positive but i did send it to my dad and his response was "wow!!!! unique....." and he provided no follow up lol
i think it’s a great song but i’m not always in the right mood/headspace for $0 even when i’m listening to the album otherwise
yup really need to be in a certain state of mind to listen to this. But 3D Country always gets the gears going. GOD OF THE SUN I'M TAKING YOU DOWN ON THE INSIDE
The two new Geese songs are incredible. Chances are you’d at least like Taxes if you like anything from this album. (I say this as someone who previously didn’t care that much for Geese.)
I’m seeing Geese at one of the Thalia Hall shows because it absolutely feels like the last time they’ll be playing venues this size. I love Cameron Winter and Heavy Metal is a no doubt instant classic. Very into the Geese singles and I love about half of 3D Country. If I’m going to see them now is the time before it gets harder and the venues get bigger. But who knows, they are still pretty idiosyncratic. Racing Mount Pleasant opening helps a ton lol, maybe THE new band I’m most excited about. Slot perfectly as my replacement for Black Country New Road. A good companion piece to caroline as well. (High recommend, check out the 3 singles if you haven’t yet).
I’m pretty much equally excited about Geese and Cam solo, but this record has a little special something that puts it in convo for best of the 2020s so far for me and 3D Country is more in the Hall of Very Good tier. The worst I can say about this one is We’re Thinking the Same Thing is kind of just there. I guess I can understand if the vocals are a barrier for people, but they’re a huge huge part of what makes both albums so good. And Nina is probably my second favorite thing on it tbh!
Everything Cam touches is amazing. 3D Country is comparable to this in terms of how much I love it. Thank you King Gizz and Philm for turning me on
