Welp, guess there's no Vol 2

 

aka funk wav flunked :(

 

I haven’t looked at any numbers, but it certainly didn’t feel like it flunked. Slide, Rollin, and Feels were everywhere all summer.

 

damn that’s a shame

 

I decided to Wikipedia the album and it's his best selling album which makes sense.

I also decided to check out how the singles all did on billboard hot 100.

Feels reached 20.
Slide reached 25.
Rollin reached 62.
Faking It reached 94.
Heatstroke reached 96.

I still think slide was a serious song of the year candidate.

Funk Wav Bounces is still such a fun project.

 

I’m hoping for a SZA collab next project. He remixed the weekend, it could happen

Seems a bit of a step down from Funk Wav. Will no doubt grow on me with the 100 odd radio listens.

 

I dig it, definitely a step down from Funk Wav though.

 

yeah song is cool but i just miss the funk sound :(

 

I kinda enjoyed that and I'm not entirely sure why. I really don't want to go back to disliking this guy so I hope the album is of some quality regardless of style.
