    We reach for the longest shadow Supporter

    These guys have been one of my favorite bands since I discovered them in 2020. Pretty much everything I love about the melodic side of modern progressive metal. Some press releases have mentioned the opener is 10 minutes long, and the four song suite in the middle is 24 minutes total. This band has some of the best long songs, so I am very excited.

    I don’t mind either. I’m sure it’s because their guitarist, Sam Vallen, is the primary songwriter and producer. This song seems to keep going with some of the hard rock influence that came in during Rise Radiant (I mean it as a compliment) but then also allows the song to breathe a little more than some songs on that one.

    Rise Radiant was #2 on my AOTY list in 2020, only behind Protest the Hero’s Palimpsest, which is now in the running for one of my top 5 favorite albums ever.
