I used to love this band but it’s been quite a minute since I’ve listened... I’ll check this out and hopefully I’ll dig it!

they just really feel like a band that peaked early then kinda lost what made them special. I still have liked the last few albums but they really aren't as interesting or unique.

I like all the singles better in context of the album. I personally like Melophobia and Tell Me I'm Pretty more than the Self Titled & Thank You Happy Birthday. This feels a bit long, I thought it was about to be over and when I looked there were three more songs. I've been a fan of Cage for 10 years, I wasn't overly excited for this album but overall I was pleasantly surprised. Reading about Matt's personal life it's easy to see why this album is so dark. They put on one of the best live shows in the alternative scene, I really hope I can see them whenever they headline on this album.

Aight I like this more than their last album so far

It doesn't sound like The Black Keys lite, so that's a plus

Same. I miss the energy they used to have.

This is mostly ok, but I do like the moodier songs that close out the album, especially "What I'm Becoming" and "Tokyo Smoke". Those both stood out to me.

Second listen is even worse, this album is pretttty bad. Reminds me of recent Black Keys that is just an extremely boring and lifeless shell of a band that used to be inventive and exciting

What do you guys think about this album? I think it's really worse than their old stuff.

Nothing stuck with me outside of Broken Boy and the title track.

Nothing has really done it for me since Melophobia though, tbh
