Mexican Fender is probably my favorite Weezer song of the past 3-4 albums. LOVE that tune

 

I'll have to dig into this... very interested! Also, its an appropriate time of year to dust this gem off! I wish he would have put this on his BandCamp or somewhere else where I could buy a lossless copy!

Apparently Butch gave an interview on SiriusXM Volume West yesterday where he confirmed that the album is called American Love Story , said it's a rock opera, and pointed to a May release. He also confirmed that he produced the new Jewel record and said he recently made an album with The Wallflowers.

thinkin about his new album got me to spinning this album this morning, man 'Record Store' is so fantastic.

 

Would you mind telling me what makes you like it so much... it's probably my least favourite on the entire album and maybe you can help me see what I've been missing

 

Haha, i just really love songs like that. Very personal, longing, reminiscent. Reminds me of Springsteen’s ‘Moonlight Motel’ closing out Western Stars.
