revisiting this one for the first time in a minute today, it remains so so so good.

 

Saw him do a one-off in-store/record release party yesterday. Really cool show. Just him on piano/guitar, relaxed vibe, encouraging the audience to ask him questions between songs and playing a bunch of requests. I missed the recent tour, so I was really glad to make it out for this.

He closed with "Lean Into Me" and got choked up; said he's been going through a tough time lately with some mental health stuff, and that it really meant a lot to him to come out and play this show and hear people singing along to his songs.

The show was amazing, but the store that hosted it kind of botched the execution, unfortunately. Told us to get there at 4:30 and that the show would start at 5pm sharp. Turned out Butch had a flight delay so we were all just standing around waiting out in the cold (and then in the store) forever. And then there was a meet and greet section, but there were 200+ people, so I think that process took 3-4 hours. I actually had to leave before I could meet him because I had a four hour drive home and couldn't stick around any longer. So, bummed about that, but it was still an awesome experience.

 

Also just glad to finally have Glenn on vinyl.

 

Man I really wanted to go to that one, but it sold out so fast

Also, when did the M3 albums actually get added to streaming, or at least Apple Music?

 

Looks like ReadySexGo JUST got added. It wasn't there at all ever since the beginning of streaming

 

Last I checked neither was The Hey! Album, but I gave up checking a while ago haha.

Just added the whole album to my Liked songs. Gonna do a discography run today, feeling it!

 

Very interesting. Hope it’s new music and not just a tour
