Glad the cat is finally out of the bag on this one. Was lucky enough to get my hands on these songs earlier this month and have been listening to them a lot. After not liking his last record a whole lot, I can say I absolutely love this one. Lots of Billy Joel and Elton John vibes.

Is there any upbeat, "Stay Gold"-type stuff with some tempo?

Yep! It’s definitely not all ballads. “Roll Away Like a Stone” especially is a banger.

Some awesome collaborators on this one, too. Sadler Vaden, Aaron Lee Tasjan, and Elizabeth Cook, to name a few.

OK, hell yeah. A teeeeeny bit leery of another concept album, but I'm in on this sound.

Need this work call to end so I can listen to this song

I’d say the concept is very loose. It’s definitely not a rock opera. More of a framing device that I think he used to get into a different mindset/alter ego.

WOW this song is great, I am so on board for this album and alter ego and whatever is going on. The video is killer as well

I really like the callback to Letters with the album font - a nice touch

I like the song. Only other one I’ve heard is some live renditions of Don’t Let It Weigh So Heavy on Your Heart, which has been floating around since Afraid of Ghosts. Very excited that the release is relatively soon

Solid return to form after that disaster he put out last time. Excited to hear more.

So excited Butch is back! Love the song, and also psyched to see him live again for the first time in years. Can't believe he's playing Bowery Ballroom, and the tix are only $30?!

I wouldn't call it a disaster - parts of it weren't his best work, but there's some absolute gems on the album. Gridlock, Out in the Open, Fuck It (I Don't Like Love) come to mind.

Haven't listened to this guy before but figured I'd check what the hype is all about. New single is fantastic. I'm on board. Where to from here?

I got into Butch Walker about 5-6 years ago when Stay Gold was coming out. That’s probably a great place to start. I also found Letters and The Spade being the ones I gravitated to most when diving into his discography.

@Craig Manning will certainly guide you well!
