Nice that you've got Over Now in the top 10, it's really underrated IMO and reminds me of early Biffy Clyro (57/Justboy, ie. one of the more accessible Blackened Sky songs). Year 3000 being so low is a bit mean though - it's ridiculously catchy and less throwaway than it has any right to be given the subject matter. Surely better than Psycho Girl anyway! I agree that the self-titled album is the worst one, although Sleeping With The Light On is one of their better slow ones - introduced me to the magic of the 1st->minor 3rd chord progression! Must agree with Letterbomb here that Out Of Our Minds is decent, top 5 in Night Driver for me The instrumentation is standout, I love the vocal performances, and the melodies seem to hit exactly the vibe they were going for (the mix of joy and ennui that comes from endless partying)
I'm very impressed with this effort No thunderbirds or official albums only I actually love Britney. Although the music and less the lyrics. Ditto Dawson's
I love Over Now so much, ha. Year 3000 is still a solid song I just don't think it's as good as most of their stuff. Psycho Girl is down at the bottom too but I like that one slightly more if only because I don't have to hear it as often. I just don't think James does a good job with the chorus and I really don't like the bridge, ha.
I just went with albums, if I added Thunderbirds it's either be just above or below Britney. I find Britney just boring as a whole and yeah the lyrics are real bad.
Fair play. Also what's the international WIGTSF remix. I went on iTunes but could only find a "Steve power mix" which I couldn't tell difference. I need to let ND sink in more but a quick top 10 and bottom 5 for me would be Top 1. Why Meet you there All the way Without you Crash and burn Fake Air hostess Crash wedding Can't break thru Dawsons Bottom 5 least fave first. (Don't actually dislike any) 1. Psycho girl That thing you do 3am Year3000 Nerdy
@Schooner It has a little bit more umpf to it than the original. It sounds more like A Peresent For Everyone than it does Self Titled, if that makes sense.
Nerdy was the one I feel bad putting in there and almost changed to a bottom 4 But no regrets for TTYD. Plus it always played on my mind I'd think about that stupid tom hanks movie and it's stupid song everything I hear the title lyric song and it ruined the song for me. Strange reason but it gave me head noise
lol, I don't think I've ever seen that movie. That song always pairs so perfectly with Falling for You to me and I love them both so much.
Physical copy finally arrived. Nice to have the lyrics but the booklet is pretty disappointing - not a lot going on in there.
The funniest thing about Britney is I'm pretty sure it's the sole reason Elliot Minor (look 'em up) did a song all about Jessica Alba.

This album hasn't held up for me and it's only been a week lol. It's good, but definitely not great. I haven't even listened to it the last few days, haven't had much of a desire to return
Yeah i haven't put it back on since last weekend. I've been going to the new Metallica one instead. I still will spin it again soon. But I've been itching too despite my anticipation of it
I still listen pretty regularly although I've been forcing myself to stop to try and listen to other stuff I've missed this year and to go back and relisten to stuff. Still haven't listened to Metallica and I don't know if I can even be bothered to at this point.
I've only listened to this three times and it hasn't been demanding repeat listens. It's still fine though
Only just saw that this charted 13th in the U.K. Official Charts. I thought that after the big comeback tour and recent TV appearances, they might have cracked into the top 5.
They were on target to hit number eight during the midweek update, so that's a little disappointing. Charlie did better with both of his solo records. I honestly don't think the band mind too much about chart positions or huge numbers anymore though.
Did he? That's crazy, ha. I tried to find out how much BTDB sold first week to try and get a comparison but couldn't find it.
I mean, Starboy came in at 5 and The Weeknd is one of the worlds biggest rn... it's been a strange week for charting.
