I definitely get those vibes and I've seen a lot of comments make that comparison. Thought Charlie would've wrote the riff but turns out McFly's (& INK.) member Dougie did.
Pretty much what I expected. Disappointing to wait so long for such a short album but hopefully its all killer no filler.
I agree Nineties is better than What I Go To School For and Coming Home, but would put Crashed The Wedding at least on a par with it. They struck melodic gold with that song IMO
Yeah some of the songs on that album are silly in premise but so fun/catchy I don't really care, lol.
*Reunites* "We really don't want to release a pop-punk nostalgia record." *Makes shit 80s synth pop album that doesn't sell very well* "Hey let's make that pop-punk nostalgia record we didn't want to make!" What a mess of a band. Just do another solo record, Charlie.
Nineties didn’t make much impact at all to say it was a lead single. I’m curious how the tour is selling. Eager for another Fightstar record.
Night Driver was great. This album seems like it'll be some decent guitar pop but definitely a disappointing direction and a waste of Charlie's talent. Really hoping for more Fightstar after this album cycle..
I found Charlie's solo albums first then heard about Fightstar and Busted... Why isn't he making more solo albums
Reunion gets catchier on replay but it's nothing special. It reminds me of their song 'Beautiful Mess' but it's less catchier (still annoyed they didn't put that on the disappointing Night Driver album). Also, in regards to album singles order: Crashed the Wedding > What I go to School For > Coming Home > Nineties. No thanks to solo Charlie either cos: Old Busted > Fightstar > New Busted > McBusted > Son of Dork > Matt solo > Charlie solo > James solo (Future Boy)
Young Pilgrim is one of the best albums of the decade you maniac! Beautiful Mess is so much better than either of these new songs. Apparently there's another one out today, I'm hoping that one's better.
